Rise Group brings Italian luxury to the Middle East with MERISE.
Rise Group is a VRR group venture founded by visionaries with vast experience in architecture, interior design, and luxury markets. Their commitment to world-class, environment-friendly interior solutions and their offering of the most exclusive international brands have met with success in the luxury markets of Bangalore.
They now planned to launch operations in UAE, breaking into Dubai's saturated luxury market of strong economy, rising disposable incomes, and a growing population of high-net-worth individuals.
The task was to embed this legacy in a brand identity that's distinguished and desirable- adaptive to tactile details, environmental graphics, digital touch points, and more.








BRAND IDENTITY AND
VISUAL DESIGN
The goal with MERISE was to reposition it from a brand that simply offers "delivery of luxury" to one that embodies a luxurious experience for clients.
Reflecting this vision, we crafted a versatile, dually-oriented typographic word mark that functions seamlessly in both horizontal and vertical lockups. The selected typefaces for the brand are refined sans serifs, distinguished by ornate ligatures and expressive glyphs- without falling into cliche usage of cursive fonts- but still embodying their characteristics.





This identity is anchored in a muted colour palette that aligns with MERISE’s core aesthetic while harmoniously complementing the partner brands it features.
At the heart of the visual system is a composition of concentric rectangular frames; a graphic element that evokes spatial depth and introduces a sense of motion across brand touchpoints.
The type usage also plays with non-traditional placements, alignments, heirarchies and line breaks- infusing freshness to the traditional perception of luxury brands.

For digital platforms like social media, we reimagined the use of concentric rectangular frames to elegantly showcase image-heavy content—translating the MERISE experience into a screen-first format. This approach maintains visual depth and brand consistency, while allowing content to take center stage across digital touchpoints.
ILLUSTRATION & SPATIAL DESIGN
As a natural extension of the ultra-luxury visual system, we created custom illustrations for MERISE products—designed to appear across tags, wayfinding, signage, and other spatial touchpoints. These illustrations enrich the brand identity by reflecting MERISE’s core values of care and its commitment to elevating the consumer experience.

At MERISE, client experience is everything—luxury is defined not just by product, but by sensation. We went above the brief to extended the brand’s design language into gifting touchpoints, reimagining each element through the lens of brand type, colour, graphics, and rich material finishes like velvet, leather, and foil. From bespoke chocolates and champagne to candles and curated keepsakes, every detail is crafted to engage the senses- taste, smell, and touch-transforming each moment into a distinctly MERISE experience.

The brand stationery and print collateral experiment with an array of print techniques- embossing, debossing, metal inks, metal foiling, letterpress techniques across various material finishes.





Additional brand graphics include a series of patterns inspired by the logo and visual language, along with a square motif that evokes an infinity-like sense of experience within a contained space. This element is used across the brand language as a balancing element for the brand's offbeat typography, whilst embodying the experiential value that is a core value of MERISE.
